Alright, John, thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Looking back, do you think you chose the right career path? Do you wish you had started sooner or later?
I have been teaching high school mathematics for over 20 years, and I truly believe the timing was perfect for me. My experience mentoring young teachers and developing innovative teaching methods has shaped my approach to education. These experiences taught me how to connect with students and make math accessible to everyone. Starting my journey when I did allowed me to grow steadily and refine my teaching philosophy.
John, before we dive into more of these questions, could you share more about your background and what you do?
My journey began as a passionate educator in a local school, where I discovered my love for teaching math. Over the years, I focused on finding ways to make problem-solving engaging for students. Beyond the classroom, I mentor aspiring teachers to ensure my approach to education inspires future generations.

What’s worked well for you in terms of connecting with students?
Building relationships based on trust and understanding has been my greatest strength. By creating a supportive environment, students feel encouraged to ask questions and embrace challenges. I also use real-life examples to make concepts relatable.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Early in my career, I worked in a school with limited resources. Despite the challenges, I developed creative teaching methods using everyday materials. This experience taught me the value of adaptability and resourcefulness, skills that continue to benefit my students today.
