Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Clara Nguyen. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Clara, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
My journey started with my own struggles with health. As a teenager, I dealt with chronic fatigue and digestive issues that traditional medicine couldn’t fully address. That led me to explore holistic nutrition.
I pursued certification as a holistic nutritionist and began applying what I learned to my own life. The results were transformative. Over the years, I’ve continued my education, blending ancient practices like Ayurveda with modern dietary science to help others achieve wellness.
Clara, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Clara Nguyen, a holistic nutritionist and wellness coach based in Vancouver. My mission is to empower people to take charge of their health through personalized nutrition plans and lifestyle changes.
Whether I’m working with individuals or hosting workshops, I emphasize the connection between food, mind, and body. Wellness isn’t just about what you eat—it’s about how you live.
Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
Many people see nutrition as a strict set of rules, but it’s actually a creative process. Every client is different, so it’s about crafting solutions that work for their unique needs.
What surprises people is how much psychology is involved. Helping someone change their eating habits often requires addressing emotional barriers and shifting deeply ingrained patterns.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
“How Not to Die” by Dr. Michael Greger opened my eyes to the power of plant-based diets in preventing chronic diseases.
I’m also inspired by traditional healing systems like Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, which emphasize balance and prevention.
